When producing a music video to an existing track owned by a company, I need to obtain the correct permissions to create and upload my content, as the rights to the music do not belong to me. Therefore, in order to produce my music video to Avicii’s track “Wake Me Up” I had to email Universal Music and ask politely for the permissions to use the music. Below is a copy of my email and the response I received in return.
